carpe-aevitas asked: hey, I just read through the H2obags site. wow, the entire idea of the project is unbelievably amazing! the fact that you even participated in the program is good enough, don't matter whether or not you reached ten people :) i love the idea of how you gave it to a cab driver. now i'm inspired to do it here as well but since homeless people here don't actually hold up signs to signify themselves as homeless, i'd just give it to whomever seems needy of it.

you are right about how helping strangers is not easy. it's quite draining even because of how we cater to them emotionally more than physically. but it truly is good for the soul because like you said, we learn from them as well. my church is organizing another outreach soon (next month if i'm not mistaken) and i cannot wait, really.

i see that you just watched the Pursuit of Happyness. how did you find it? :D

I am grateful that this challenge has inspired you to try this beautiful initiative too. All the more I will devote myself to do more of that. This kind of action can bring hope to the poor people instead of what other people perceive as making them dependent on you. I honestly believe in the power of hope. People needs hope. People needs to know that there is someone out there who really cares for them. Poor people needs it very much.

Pursuit of Happyness was recommended by my client because I told him I love inspirational movies. This movie is just.. wow! I have never been so inspired and so strengthen by one movie. Never. This movie about a real story of a father..who seem to have experience a lot of pain and suffering.. and yet he defies the odds and the gravity of problems weighing on him. What I love most about the man is his sense of humor and lightness in times of problems. His never ending care for his son and other people. And at the end.. my goodness.. I can’t even describe.. his happyness.. the happyness that he had finally found.. just amazing.. crying tears of joy and all. Pure bliss no?

I guess I just had to sort of retell this movie.. I love it so much and would definitely watch it always whenever I need some dosage of strength. Right now, on my list of inspiration movies to watch are: I am Sam, Soul Surfer.. :D

What are you up to these days? :)

the sky.the ceiling.the window. ♥ About Me

I am the girl who envisions her own library filled with inspiring spirituality books, arts, culinary and so forth. I love to dream of going to Paris and perhaps travel alone and get lost. I have always love sunrise and sunset, azure sky, fresh air and the smell of grassy fields. Music, books, photography and art are my passions. I doodle mostly of people and scribble endless poems and prayers. I write to release. I am always a healthy eater but I dig into junks whenever I feel so low. I love to wear a cross because it strengthens me. I read the Bible now and it calms and inspires me. I keep a lot of things. I brood a lot. I cry a lot. I value relationships. I hate pretentious people and so I never talk to them unless they start to. I can very much feel people. I have fears and doubts of myself but I always pray for more strength and faith. I always wanted to be happy and life changing but sometimes end up sad and depressed. The cycle always never stops. But I know nothing is impossible with God.

♥ Lyrical Thoughts is the name of this blog because I love music; and lyrics makes me think and reflect.

These musical writings create thoughts that help express my feelings through pictures, poems, and writing. All posts here have links from sources unless stated otherwise.
